Looks like it worked, her urine is back to normal. It seems that I was able to train her to potty a bit higher and that seems to work as well!

Thanks so much for all your sweet words and concerns.

Hugs,
MarciaFrugalious Livinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01699819217604655002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5147338940870418597.post-56200351796369802482010-04-03T01:41:37.707-04:002010-04-03T01:41:37.707-04:00I don't know if I would have trusted that vet....I don't know if I would have trusted that vet. Sounds like they were in it for the money only.

What did your vet say? Sure hope your little one is better soon.

If anyone thinks it's silly to take a dog to the vet at any hour, should not own a dog. I think people should treat their dogs and cats like children. If they are sick would you take them to the ER or wait until morning?

I say good for you and I am so thankful there are wonderful pet owners out there like you.

Hugs,
JoanneJoanne Kennedyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15550534887793382985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5147338940870418597.post-74701568435534592362010-03-31T16:58:29.348-04:002010-03-31T16:58:29.348-04:00We had a cat who used to get bladder infections. ...We had a cat who used to get bladder infections. I started dosing him with cranberry capsules and it helped. You can get them in health food stores.Terihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11678581109827783910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5147338940870418597.post-15684589576631219942010-03-29T21:49:08.562-04:002010-03-29T21:49:08.562-04:00Thank you so much Carmen! UTI is build of bacteria in the bladder and can be caused by many things including bladder stones, immune system problems, diabetes or many other things. Being alone during the day can cause issues with having to hold the urine, maybe consider installing a doggie door or have someone come over a few times when you are at work. Make sure she drinks PLENTY of fresh, clean water, preferably not chlorinated such as "city" water. Avoid ALL sugars in foods, some dogs do better on an organic diet. Avoid walking her in areas sprayed with weed or bug killer. nativeremedies.com sells a pet product called UTI -free, some have had sucess with it. Hope this has been of some help other than maybe find a new vet:)Carmen S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13456401188562193384noreply@blogger.com
